It identifies the product configuration more precisely than a product family name or a photograph alone. Capturing it correctly reduces incorrect quotes, delays and costly installation mistakes.
Where to find the MLFB
Look for the printed label on the front, side or rear of the device. It may appear near a barcode, serial number, firmware revision or electrical rating. On installed equipment, clean the label carefully and take several focused photographs rather than transcribing it from memory.
Why every character matters
The number may distinguish voltage, interface, channel count, firmware, protection class, regional variant or option. Hyphens are often shown in web-friendly formatting, but the original label is the source of truth. Never remove suffix characters or replace unclear digits with guesses.
